Allow Me - Home Transitions
Testimonials

"I hired Colleen to assist me to de-clutter my home and pack for a move.  In addition to the physical work, she helped me come to terms with the personal issues that led to my home becoming cluttered in the first place.

During our many days working together, I had the opportunity to observe Colleen’s professional skills as well as her interpersonal style. Colleen is consistently pleasant, and takes on all assignments with enthusiasm and dedication. It was always a pleasure to have Colleen in my home.

It is nice to wake up each morning to a clutter-free and organized home. I am thankful that Colleen came into my life."

"Working with Colleen on my basement project was nothing short of amazing. She brought energy, vision and dedication to the project, gently guiding me through initial overwhelm and indecision helped me maintain a sense of humor and was really easy to work with.

Colleen's commitment to my satisfaction was evident every step of the way. She listened attentively to my ideas and needs, offered many alternative solutions and delivered an exceptional result!

In addition to a keen design sense, she instilled me with confidence with her can-do attitude. She installed fixtures, separated items into categories and helped haul away all my unwanted stuff.

I am thrilled with my new basement and so is my family. Although I still don’t love doing laundry, having a bright, cheery laundry room to do it in now REALLY helps. I highly recommend working with Colleen."

"I'm pleased that Colleen decided to use her considerable staging talents in a professional capacity. I was so impressed by her ability to visualize how a home could be furnished - using the owners' possessions - to best advantage.

Visualizing and bringing that vision to life are valuable skills and in short supply. In my experience, proper thinning out of an owners' furnishings/possessions and rearranging of the existing furniture, artwork and the like both shortens a property's time on market and increases the price a potential buyer is willing to pay. That most certainly was the case when Colleen performed her magic for me!"

"A few years ago, "Life Happened” and I unexpectedly needed to move to smaller quarters after thirty years in one house. Colleen swooped in and rescued me.

There was so much to do – handling all the households’ contents, repairs, repainting, staging, etc. Colleen gave me lots of assignments and gentle nudges to keep me (and the project) moving along on schedule.

Within a few short weeks, Colleen had organized the disposition of the household stuff – either shared, sold, donated, or stored. At the same time, she had led her small team of helpers to complete a conversion of the house to a sleeker and more neutral appearance and had staged it (for what proved to be) a quick sale.

Colleen has great instincts, ideas, energy and enthusiasm. She also has a ready reserve of empathy and kind-heartedness. I think this is very important since home and life transitions can come with hefty emotional price tags.

I’m so grateful for all Colleen’s help and hard work getting me through a very challenging time. "
